Summerella is the alias of Summer Boissiere, a comedian and R&B vocalist and songwriter. Her career was launched during the mid-2010s through clips she uploaded to Vine and Instagram. The Atlanta, Georgia native's humorous and musical videos attracted million-plus followings on the social media services. In 2015, she started issuing full-blown recordings, including the tracks "11 Something," "Hide & Seek," and "Ice Cream," all of which were lazing ballads. Another pair of slow cuts, "Come and See Me" and the comparatively emotive "Pull Up," followed in 2016. Though Boissiere didn't tour, she reached the public through meet-ups, including one that took place in New York.
