Mariah the Scientist is an R&B singer-songwriter who first began releasing music in the 2010s.
Atlanta native Mariah Buckles started writing music while studying biology at St. John’s University in New York, which later inspired her stage name, “The Scientist.”
To Die For—her self-released 2018 debut EP—caught the attention of rapper Tory Lanez, who invited her on tour and signed her to his One Umbrella imprint. She collaborated with rapper Trippie Redd on the hit song “Abandoned” from the Gold-certified, chart-topping 2019 album A Love Letter To You 4. After signing to a major label in 2019, she released her debut album, Master, featuring the hit single “Beetlejuice.”
